1) Interview with LaVina Pratt, founder of Eagle Hills Handwriting Experts

This interview was conducted by Tim Benedict, a freelance writer, in LaVina’s home and via email.

Tim: So LaVina, what exactly is it that got you started into Handwriting Analysis?

LaVina: That is an interesting question. Not being a detail person, and a Type A personality, why would I become involved in this? The answer is too long for here, but the short version is, "because it works!"

Tim: How old were you at the time, or is that a fair question to ask?

LaVina: 19 years old.

Tim: Have you been able to help anyone through something difficult because of something you learned from their handwriting?

LaVina: Several, I have lots of stories. What could be greater than, ‘knowing thyself’?

Tim: How did you learn Handwriting Analysis? Did you take classes? Teach yourself? Mentor with someone?

LaVina: Yes, all of the above. The International Graphoanalysis Institute has great correspondence courses.

Tim: What do you think is the most important way that knowing Handwriting Analysis has benefited your own life?

LaVina: The list is very long. Having an in-depth portrait of self and others has not only assisted in communications, but in overall understanding.

Tim: I know a lot of people still think Handwriting Analysis is something "New Age", or a quack science, or completely unfounded in true science. How do you respond to them?

LaVina: It’s been around for ages. They analyze the script on rocks and tombs since B.C.. A large percentage of European employers use handwriting analysis as part of their hiring practices. I challenge anyone to check out the validity if they have doubts, it is very scientific.

Tim: So you definitely believe Graphology and handwriting Analysis are valid psychological tools to understand people better?

LaVina: I’m positive!

Tim: I assume you also perform analyses for other people as a job or on a fee schedule?

LaVina: Yes, I assume you have my price sheet on my web page? (http://www.handwritings.com)

Tim: Yes I do, Are they usually satisfied with what you can tell them?

LaVina: They are not always happy with the obvious, but yes they are satisfied in knowing the truth. The same with Question Document work. They want me to prove it is not the same person or vice-versa. It just is what it is.

Tim: What do you tell people who have an interest in learning more about Graphology and Handwriting Analysis?

LaVina: There are several excellent schools available, they just need to email me and I will set them up with the one that best suits their needs.

Tim: Thankyou for your time. It’s been most delightful.

LaVina: Likewise.

2) The letter ‘O’ and it’s special significance.

O's and A's often indicate frankness or the lack there of…

Closure at the tops of O's and A's often indicates the ability to 'keep a secret', while open tops indicate just the opposite and someone who is probably talkative…

Extra circle within a circle to the left indicates self deceit. An extra circle within a circle to the right indicates deceit to others. If you have someone whose writing shows both, run like heck to the nearest exit!

-LaVina Pratt
